Muwatin 20th Annual Conference 2014: Palestinian Political Economy under Occupation: Crucial Issues in the Ongoing Crisis

Muwatin the Palestinian Institute for the Study of Democracy is pleased to invite you to attend Muwatin’s 20th Annual Conference ‘Palestinian Political Economy under Occupation: Crucial Issues in the Ongoing Crisis” which will be held on the 26-27 September at the Red Crescent Society Bldg., Jerusalem Road, Ramallah.

The conference will critically examine some of the realities of development in Palestine, politically and economically, as well as the assumptions underlying an approach to development that either elides the occupation, or alternatively normalizes the occupation as part of its very horizon of possibility. However, the first session “Gaza and the Questions of our Time” is dedicated to the ongoing Gaza crisis and what lessons and challenges this crisis poses to all of us.
